THE MENINA
This is a painting based on one of Diego Velasquez paintings "Las Meninas" This is one of my favorites paintings from the Spanish Master, and I wanted to do a close up of the little girl as being the focal point of the painting. When I painted it years ago, I never imagined I was going to have the privilege of actually seeing the original painting in person. AMAZING!
THE PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY
This is my favorite painting, so I had to honor Salvador Dali and his colorful imagination. Since this painting is open to interpretation to everyone, it resembles the meaning of art to me which is the sense or feeling originated while contemplating an art piece.
